Wedding Collage

Please ignore my messy background of a kitchen! Here is a collage my sister and I put together for my dad. It's a little hard to see but we used the Fifth Avenue Floral set along with the flower die. I also did one for my wedding, just waiting for Hubby to take the picture! Hope you all had a good Christmas and are indoors today - the weather is frightful!

Another Snow Swirled

Hello again! Here's another Snow Swirled card for a swirly day. This one is from the card class last month (boy it seems like yesterday!) Colours are Kraft, Very Vanilla, Real Red and Chocolate Chip and the DSP is from the Merry Moments package. Inks used are Garden Green and Real Red, and a little dazzling diamonds to dazzle it up!

I'm DONE!!

Hello all! Well I'm finally done! I finished my cards for the fundraiser and card class - 520 in all! Thanks to all your support I was able to donate $230.00 to the Four Counties Foundation - thank you so much everyone - and a very very special thank you to my mom who helped make all the cards. SO here are a couple of snap shots of what my kitchen table looked like for the last couple weeks (not my scrapbook room cuz believe me a tornado really went through it - really not kidding - ok I'm kidding!) Also included are 2 of the cards from my Christmas card class which was a huge success, thanks again, I have the best family, friends and customers! Thanks for looking! Steph

Need a Christmas Gift???

Wondering where I am?? Well I am home with sick kiddies, and a stack of cards to be made! I have finished 108 of the 300 I need to have ready by next Friday....so needless to say I have not been creating a whole bunch! But I decided to take a break tonight as I am all out of Snail and have used up my Dollar Store supply as well...so off to the Glencoe Dollar store tmw! So on my break I decided to whip something up that's been on my mind for a few days. I am making gift certificates! So if you would like your hubby's or other family members to bu you a great gift without the craziness of the malls. tell them to give me a call! I am selling gift certificates for $10.00, $25.00 and $50.00. Please note: they are only redeemable through me! All gift certificates will come in this cute little card/certificate holder (thanks Ange for the idea!)

Also, the Four Counties Foundation is hosting a Christmas Marketplace on Saturday Dec.5th. I will have a table there and will be bringing these cute little certificates with me so again, if you would like some spending money to pick something out of the catalogue, send someone down to see me! Hope you all are well and will post again soon!

My First Out of Home Workshop!

Happy Tuesday All! This is a card that I did last night at my first "out of home" workshop - which was such a fun night. I met a really great group of ladies! It was a definite learning experience as I forgot sooo many things - envelopes, calculator, scrap paper, even the Soft Suede that goes behind Dasher was left on my scrapbook table at home! However, live and learn - and I am so thankful for the chance to have met these ladies and share my love for scrapbooking and cardmaking. So colours on this cards are Soft Suede, Taken with Teal inks and card stock is Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Soft Suede and Taken with Teal. I also added a piece of Holiday Lounge DSP to give it a little extra. Stamp sets used are All Holidays, Snow Swirled, and Dasher. To finish it off I used some Dazzling Diamonds on Dasher's antlers and on a few snowflakes. Very Very simple, but unique and crafty at the same time. Have a great day and hope you can enjoy some of this sunshine! Steph

Two Little Angels

Hello All! Hope you had a good week-end. I had a very busy but great week-end. Our Open House was a huge success and thanks to all who came out to check us out! Today's post is a simple scrapbook page I put together Friday night. When I got my new Holiday Lounge paper and saw the page with the large bulbs on it I knew I was going to use it for some sort of scrapbook page, then when I came across last years Christmas pics of the girls, I thought is was perfect! So paper is Ruby Red, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Holiday Lounge DSP. I used the Eyelet Edge punch to dress up a strip of Ruby Red, which I also distressed with Ruby Red ink. I added a piece of Soft Suede gross grain ribbon and also attached a little bow to dress it up. My "Noel" is Stampin'Up! chipboard inked with Old Olive classic ink ( if I had craft I would've used craft as it tends to look a little nicer on the chipboard). The picture is mounted on Ruby Red and Soft Suede Cardstock. This page was so easy but I just love it because it is so simple that it allows you to focus on the two angels in the picture. Hope you like!

Serene Snowflakes

Hello Everyone! We made it back from the North and I'd like to say we're all refreshed, but I would be telling a white lie! I have 300 Christmas cards to make and have been cutting paper like a mad woman! However, we did have a lovely time and it was good to have a little down time. So on to today's post...this is a card I made tonight at my monthly Stampin'Up! meeting. My up line Becky designed it and I just love it! We used the new stamp set in the Holiday Mini, Serene Snowflakes. Cardstock is Kraft and Bordering Blue along with Whisper White. We used the awesome new shimmer paint, Champagne and Frost to stamp the snowflakes onto the cardstock. The large snowflake is stamped with Bordering Blue Craft ink. The large oval was used for the greeting and it is stamped with basic gray. Some Whisper White organza is used along with a brass brad to dress it up and voila, a super easy yet super elegant Christmas card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jolliest Time of the Year

Happy Friday! Here's another oldie I decided to post (trying to make 300 cards for the hospital, so finding little time to create!) This one uses the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set. It's really quite nice as it has this tree, a snowman (see Frosty post)., and a Santa. Colours used are Old Olive, Basic Black, Ruby Red, and Summer Sun on Whisper White. The lights behind the tree are from the Stampin Around wheel Bright Bulbs. The striped paper at the bottom is from last years Hallowe'en DSP (it actually has skulls on the back!) This is a very simple card but is one of my favourites - I love Old Olive!

Just an FYI so I don't disappoint you all over the week-end, I am headed to the great North for the week-end so I won't be able to post until Tuesday again. Will see you then, and remember to contact me if you are interested in either the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on the 20th or if you would like to purchase a set of cards for the Four Counties Hospital

Have a great weekend!

Dasher #2

Good morning All! Those clouds outside do not look very promising! Today's card is one I had already made but haven't posted yet, so thought I would share it today (sorry if you have already seen it at my house!) I'm not sure what's up with my scanner but it seems to really make the white and lighter colours too bright. You can see some of the blue above the right side of Dasher, on my card it is like that about 3/4 of the way down. Maybe it's the ribbon not allowing it to lay flat? I used the Dasher stamp and the Peace/Love/Joy is from the All Holidays stamp set, which is really great as it does cover most of the holidays. Colours are Chocolate Chip cardstcok, Whisper White, and the retired DSP Ski Slope (sorry - just had to use it cuz I still love it!) Inks are Chocolate Chip, and Baja Breeze (which you could use Bashful Blue) to sponge on the Whisper White Top Note punched out with the Big Shot. I just lightly sponged to give it a soft sky feeling. I used some Ribbon behind the Top Note, which has a Chocolate Chip Top Note behind it to pop it out a little. And finally I added some Dazzling Diamonds to Dasher's antlers and the bottom for some snow. Feel like creating this card? Why not just switch out the DSP to the new Holiday Lounge our Merry Moments, I'll bet it looks great! Have a great Thursday!

Autumn Splendour

Hello All! Here is the page that we just did for Club night (which I just love so much, thanks ladies for coming out!) I used More Mustard, Taken with Teal, and Really Rust Classic Ink. The DSP used is out of the Holiday Mini and I just love using it! Cardstock used is Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Very Vanilla and Taken with Teal. I also used the Leaves #2 Die to add some dimension, I first ran them through the Big Shot with Very Vanilla cardstock and then through with some Chipboard to pop them up a little. Hope you like :)

Hannah's Post

Yes...I am still alive! Let me tell you, it's been quite a couple of weeks. We've had 2 sinus infections, bronchitis, teething toddler, calendar class (which I loved and thank-you to all who came out!) So I am so sorry for the no posts, but it's been CRAZY to say the least. Now since I have not had time to create anything new other than our club page (which I'll post after Monday), I decided to post a craft that my daughter Hannah and I did a couple weeks ago. Hannah is three and LOVES to stamp! So one day while I was finishing up a project she wanted to stamp, so instead I gave her some pieces that I was using for an upcoming project (some snowman treat bags). This is her take on my creation! She had lots of fun and I had just as much fun watching her little mind work....both her and Kayla amaze me!

On another note...I have decided to try and keep some sort of order to my blogging. I really don't want to be one who has a blog that people are checking out but are disappointed to not see a new post. So my new goal is to post three times a week; Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. I am going to give this a try and hopefully you will all keep coming back! Thanks so much for your patience! Steph

Herb Expressions

Hello All. Hope you all had a good week-end and have not caught what seems to be going around house! That's my first excuse for the 5 day no post, my second is I have been VERY busy! I received my first order for pre-made cards! I was honoured to be asked to make some Thank-you cards for the Four Counties Foundation so this week-end mom and I finished off 20 cards ( I know it doesn't sound like many, but it was a little time consuming, but I enjoyed every minute of it!) I have also been asked to design some Christmas cards to sell as a fundraiser for the Four Counties Hospital, so I did, designed them all! I'll be doing a post later this week with the details. Hope you like my creation, thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby Noah!

Congrats to the Mooser family on the safe arrival of baby Noah (love the name btw!) Hope you like today's card; I pulled it from my box of cards ( I now have pre-made cards - I'm ahead of the game!) This one's going out to Nicole and family. The stamp set is "Wild About You" (retired) and the "New Baby" is stamped from the set "Fun and Fast Notes". The colours are Whisper White and Bashful Blue. I used some Sale-a-bration paper for the background. Not sure if you can see behind the giraffe, I tried scanning the card but it was really bright and hard to see, so I used the camera, but it still seems hard to see parts; but I used the Sanded background stamp to give it a little more dimension. I also used the Sanded stamp under the greeting. Tied on a little whisper white gross grain ribbon ontop of a small strip of Bashful Blue punched with the Scallop Edge punch, and there you have it! Thanks for looking!

Monday, October 12, 2009

Good afternoon! Hope you liked my card yesterday, cuz here's another one featuring the "Cottage Wall" DSP! It's a card I made for my mom's birthday, and as I am dog sitting this week-end for her, I borrowed it to scan since I forgot to do so when I made it. I took this picture of Hannah and Kayla in the summer at my mom's. When I saw the Cottage Wall DSP I knew I had to incorporate it with my mom's beautiful flower garden. Not sure if you can relate to this but since I've been using the Stampin'Up! Colours and paper religiously, I will notices things that coordinate with them...this was the case with the garden. I thought the flowers matched the Razzlebery perfectly. Colours for the card are Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry. I used the large Scallop die and my Big Shot with the Razzleberry paper. I then used my circle scissors and Orchid Opulenceto mat the picture I cut out using the circle scissors as well. A piece of retired kiwi kiss striped ribbon to finish it off. The stamp set I used is the "All Holidays" stamp set. Hope you had a delicious turkey dinner and thanks for checking in! Steph

Mojo Monday

Hello again! I came across this blog that features cardmaps and had to give it a try. This post will be short as I am trying to catch the deadline! Stamp set is "Thoughts and Prayers", Colours are Razzleberry and Old Olive, inks are Soft Suede, Old Olive and Razzleberry, and patterened paper is Cottage Wall...hope you like...this card will be mailing shortly to my cuz Ellen who goes for surgery on the 16th...lots of good thoughts going your way Ellen!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving All! Hope you are all enjoying a nice turkey dinner. We spent the day at Appleland - and it was awesome! Needless to say though, the wee ones had a little too much fresh air and were a little on the cramky side for the evening, so instead of not doing a post (as I haven't been able to escape to my scraproom) I decided to post pics of where I do my creating and workshops. The first pic is one of a workshop I did last month and the other two are pics of my scrap room. I'm hoping to escape there shortly so I can post a new creation for you tmw. Thanks for dropping by!

Frankie and Friend

Good evening everyone! Sorry for the "no" post for the past couple days. We had our club nights Friday and Monday so it's been a busy household. Thanks for all the clubbers who were able to make it, and to all that placed their order. Our hostess Ellen was able to do some fun shopping! So here are my little guys that I would like to say I came up with, but I did spy them on another blog - so although I altered them to make them my own, the original idea is not mine :( Both are made with (yes you guessed it) the Top Note die! Frankie is made with Green Galore (Bold Brights) and Dracula is Pale Plum (Soft Subtle). Basic Black is used their hair ( I used the oval punch to create the look for Dracula). Their eyes are made with the 1" and 3/4" circle punches. I also used the Sanded background stamp with Real Red for Dracula's eyes, and his fangs are the large Star Punch with Real Red on the tips. Hope you like!

What U'R Missing!

Another dreary day ugh! Well I guess it's a good night to get together and stamp! Tonight is my Scrappin Gals club night and if you're not a member this is what you're missing! I used the Sweet Centres stamp set and Sanded background stamp (thanks again mom!), Basic Black, Whisper White, Old Olive and some retired Halloween DSP (sorry it's retired, but this year's paper is really cool!) Ink is Basic Black, Whisper White, Old Olive. It's such an easy card and looks great! Sooo, if you would like to be able to make one of these for FREE you need to get a few friends together and make a Stampin/Scrappin Club. Scrappin Gals meet once month and agree to order $30.00 each month out of the catalogue, and each take a turn hosting. SO you receive $30.00 of product, a free project to make yourself and take home, PLUS you take a turn being the hostess to receive free stamp sets and free product. E-mail me if you're interested! stampaholicsteph@gmail.com

Stay dry out there!

Love Bug

Good evening everyone. Ever thought about hosting a workshop to receive up to 3 free stamp sets as well as free Stampin'Up! products? Call me today to book your night! You could receive the stamp set I used to create this cute little card. The stamp set is only available for hostesses, you cannot purchase it. I used Chocolate Chip cardstock and a piece of DSP from the Tall Tales package. The circles are cut out using the 3/4" circle punch and the colours are Brilliant Blue, Melon Mambo and So Saffron. I used a variety of markers (mostly the In Colours) to colour the caterpillar. Threw on a piece of Old Olive Ribbon and Voila! Hope this little bug brightens up a dreary day for you all, thanks for stopping by, Steph

Frosty

Hello! Here is a simple card for today. I call him Frosty. He is from the "Jolliest Time of the Year" stamp set and makes some really great cards. I also used my "Snow burst" set to add a few snow flakes, using Baja Breeze ink and cardstock along with Whisper White and Not Quite Navy. I used my Versamark pad to stamp Frosty and black emboss powder, it gives him a nice shiny look. The left edge is done with the Scallop Edge punch and Baja cardstock. The right side has a strip of Designer Series paper from a retired Simply Scrappin kit (I Wish -I think!) Sorry to use some retired paper and inks, but they look so nice together! On another note, a big congrats to Jennifer Walker for winning the door prize package at the Glencoe Fair. THanks to all who stopped by and filled out a ballot. Hope you're keeping warm in this little blast of fall!

Smiley Face

Re-post
Another sneak peak at the calendar class. This page is of my little smiley face Kayla. I used Melon Mambo cardstock and another piece from the Tall Tales DSP. the butterfly is stamped with Brilliant Blue and I used the Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry markers to colour in some of the dots. The butterfly is from the "Garden Whimsy" stamp set which is another stamp set I love (however, I have yet to find one I don't love!) I popped the butterfly out using dimensionals. Just a reminder the class is on Friday October 23rd and pre-registration by October 6th is required. Have a great evening and thanks to all who dropped by my booth over the week-end. I'll be posting the winner of the Door prize tomorrow morning.

ChooChoo

Hope you all are enjoying your day. Today's post is a page from the calendar class I am having on the 23rd of October. It's a super class to learn how to make simple scrapbook pages and at the end they all go in a stand up calendar - a great Christmas gift! The calendar holds a 6x6 scrapbook page and a 6x6 calendar page beside it and stands up, perfect for someones desk. And the best part is the pages come out after and can go right into a 6x6 album! The colours on this page are Old Olive and the DSP is a piece from the new "Tall Tales" DSP. I used a button from the Button Latte set as an embellishment and the ChooChoo is stamped with "Simple Type" alphabet (sorry it's retired - but thanks Mel for letting me borrow it!) I used Chocolate Chip ink to stamp and edge the circles which are punched out using the 3/4" circle punch. If you like this or the idea of a personalized calendar, send me an e-mail for more details or to sign up for the class! stampaholicsteph@gmail.com

Have a great day!

Snow Swireld

Good morning everyone. This really has to be one of my favourite Christmas Stamp sets. It's Snow Swirled and I just love this card. I have also made an updated version using current DSP as this is the retired Ski Slope DSP. The background is Chocolate Chip and I used my versamark pad to stamp the tree and greeting and silver emboss powder to give it a really rich look. I also used a blender pen to add some baja breeze colour to the tree. The ribbon is the satin organza which has such a nice soft look to it, perfect for this card don't you think?

I will be using the other version I have made with the current DSP in my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Class, Friday November 20th. If you are interested please e-mail me at stampaholicsteph@gmail.com pre-registration by Nov. 6th is required. Thanks again for stopping by!

Oh Deer!

Good morning All! Here is a little card I had to scrap lift from Splitcoasters! I saw it and loved it. I am going to use this card along with 2 other ones that I designed myself for my "Christmas Stamp-a-Stack" class on Friday November 20th. I used the new "Holiday Lounge" Designer Series Paper, Taken with Teal, and Sahara Sand card stock. The image is the "Dasher" stamp which is so cheap and yet so versatile. I stamped the greeting with a stamp from the " All Holidays" stamp set. To finish it off I used a piece of the new "Soft Suede" polka dot ribbon. The great thing about this ribbon is one side is polka dots and the other side is plain so you can use which ever you want.
Now I have to tell you why this card is called "Oh Deer" and not Dasher; one my husband thought it was cute, and the other, well let me tell you, if you could see my nice little scrapping room - you would say "Oh Dear"! The fair is this week-end and I am having a Stampin'Up! booth there and I could really use another month to be prepared! However, I think it's going to be awesome and I'm very excited. Thanks for looking in, we are slowly getting our PC back to normal (although I still can't get the scanner to work) so I will be posting again tmw. Maybe we'll see you at the fair!

Monday, September 14, 2009

Good evening! For some of you that had visited my old blog, this may look a little familiar! I am finally with a computer again, but with having to change my e-mail, I decided to change my blod as well..so here it is, hopefully new and improved! This is one of my favourite cards, it uses the new "Circle Circus" set which I just love cuz it's so versatile! I used the new "In colours" as well, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and Dusty Durango. To edge the bottom I used the Eyelit Edge punch and the greeting is from the "Best Wishes and More" stamp set. Hope you like, stay tuned for more!
