Thanks so Much Card - '09 Regionals

Hello everyone! Yep still here! Holidays were crazy, children, well one gets better and the other gets sick, seems to be a vicious cycle around here! So today I have a card that probably not many of you have seen. I did it at the Stampin'Up Regionals last year. I really like it because it was really easy but looks so nice and fancy. I'll warn you now though that the stamp set is not available (Soft Summer) but many other set could be used instead (Flower Fancy comes to mind). So here are the supplies:Card stock: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Naturals White. Urban Oasis DSP (sorry not available either, but any striped paper will do). Ink used is Chocolate Chip classic, Black Staz-on, Versa-mark, and Watercolour Crayons: Old Olive and Brocade Blue. Accessories: Bashful Blue Ribbon and 1/2" Chocolate Chip library clip.

Here are the instructions: Fold Old Olive cardstock in half to create card and distress the bottom with Old Olive ink. Stamp solid berries (this was a 2 step set) repeatedly with versa-mark on the top half of the card. Cut a strip of bashful blue and adhere just above the halfway mark. Punch the DSP with Eyelet Border punch and adhere to card. Stamp "thanks so much" onto DSP using Chocolate Chip ink (use Stamp-a-ma-jig). Stamp outlined image of berries using Jet black Staz-on onto Naturals cardstock. Color solid berries image directly onto rubber stamp using watercolour crayon. Spray lightly with water and stamp onto jet black image using stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up. Distress edges of the Naturals white cardstock and layer onto chocolate chip, distress chocolate chip as well. Tie ribbon in a knot, trim ends, adhere to clip with mini glue dot and adhere to card using a dimensional. Voila! I think I would trim the ribbon to be a little shorter than the picture, I have now done it but didn't upload a new picture. Seems like a lot of steps to make the card but trust me, it's very easy! Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Serene Snowflakes - Get them while you can!

Hello all! Great night for a hot chocolate! Was looking forward to doing some more scrappin', but we spent the evening at good old emerg! Lil Hannah has another UTI! So it will probably be a quiet couple days here again. Anywho, on to business... Here is the page we did this month for club night. We used the Serene Snowflakes stamp set and Shimmer paints - I love both! If you like these, get them while you can, last day to order is January 4th! Colour used were Brocade Blue, Bordering Blue and Kraft cardstock. The DSP is from the Hostess paper kit (you like? book a workshop!) Inks are Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue and Night of Navy. Shimmer paints are Champagne and Platinum. The little saying is from the Best Wishes and More stamp set, and the ribbon is the Whisper White Organza. I used the Large Scallop circle and the Big Shot to do a little journaling on. Hope you like, am working on a pair to go along with this page so hopefully you will see it soon! Take care and drive safe if you're going anywhere tomorrow!

Wedding Collage #2

Happy New Year's everyone! Hope you all had a great time. To start this year off I am posting the collage that goes with my sisters collage. I used Really Rust and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Fifth Avenue Floral (of course!) with Really Rust, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. Hope you like, it's a very simple yet elegant piece which my dad and step-mom loved! Thanks for stopping by!
