Father's Day MDS - take #2

So here it is, the Club project stepped up into a hybrid!  I am really loving the hybrid projects, for me it takes the best of both worlds and puts them together, paper crafting and MDS - Love it!  So here's what I added - Pacific Point Ribbon across the picture and then another small piece ontop, Pacific Point Button, and then I printed off the 'Best Dad Ever' from the Rad Dad set and layered it on Brights DSP.  What do you think?  I'm happy with it and had a great time making them this morning.  The frames I should mention were $1.50 from Dollarama - can't beat that!  Have a wonderful Monday, we're off to Hannah's Sparks Ceremony tonight and then hoping to spend time organizing my room!  Have a great day!

Ladies Night Out

Here's where I will be next Saturday!  Hope to see some of you there, it will be a GREAT night out with lots of vendors, specials, and refreshments!  If you have any questions send me a line, I would be happy to answer them!

Daddy's gifts MDS style - Take 1

I think I may have solved one of my time constraints!  Let me know how this pic turns out on your PC's, I took it with my Blackberry, sent it to my e-mail and then voila it's here on my post - what does this mean?? My pics can be taken anytime with my phone and I don't have to take the card out, upload and then do my post (which doesn't sound like a lot of time, but is a small hurdle for me!)  So excited about this!  Ok back to the actual post!  This is the project I made for all my Clubbers to take home from our MDS intro Friday night (minus the pic of Aaron, they insert their own pic!)  This was SUPER easy to make!  I downloaded the Rad Dad set (think it was $6.00)  and then the whole 8x10 is just the stamp set used randomly over the page and I changed up the colours (I used Pacific Point, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade)  I matted the pic on cardstock to pop it out a little.  Now tmw I will be posting the 'stepped up' version that I will be making with my special needs class.  We're taking this project and adding to it to make a hybrid father's day gift - one because I love the look of the project and 2 because I'm clear out of time!  Hope you like!  Have a great Sunday and stay dry :)

Thoughts for Timmins

Happy Saturday morning all!  It's a little busy around here with my little niece Olivia here for the morning, how fast we can forget the needs of little ones!  But all in all we're having fun :)  Today's post is another page from the swatchbook I made for Aaron's mom for Mother's day.  As some of you know, Aaron is from Timmins and most of his family still lives there.  It's quite scary to see some of the pictures of the fires.  Aaron's brother is a paramedic and is also on the emergency response team so has been working hard along with all the other emergency crews to keep these fires at bay.  So far they have not been asked to evacuate but the fire is getting closer, so our thoughts are with them as we hope for some relief from these awful forest fires.  Back to my post, the paper you see on here is from the twitterpatted set, I love this paper!  This was a very simple page, I just added a couple of stamped flowers to the photo corners, and a scallop circle punch, some satin pleated ribbon and voila!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Open House

Hello All!  Just had a FANTASTIC club night!  I just love Club night :)  We had a nice intro into MDS and I think it all went well, no one left looking like a deer in head lights so I think we are good!
I will post my pics of our MDS project tmw, did not get around to taking them earlier.  So for tonight I just wanted to let you know about my Open House on June 8th.  I will be selling ALOT of retired sets and items, and this year the way it will work is whatever the price is of the set, you will order out of the NEW catty and also recieve the retired set - FUN!  I will have make and takes, free gifts, refreshments, the new catty, and also a sneak peak of my June 22nd card class.  And for anyone interested in the Club for September I will have a sign up sheet.  Hope you can make it, please send me a line so I can have enough projects prepped - and yes they are FREE!  Thanks for stopping by and stay cool!  Steph

Pause button PLEASE!

LOL!  I sent an e-mail to my Clubbers today saying how I feel my life is in fast forward, but I'm pausing for Club night this Friday.  Seriously, life just keeps getting faster!  We worked the whole long weekend on our outside garden which I am SOOO happy with!  BUT my room is still not done - YIKES!  But I have been doing a little MDS here and there so will share one with you.  I've also been using my decor elements and will post that project soon!  Thanks everyone for your patience and for continuing to check back in!  Your support keeps me going :)  This is the baby shower invite I did up for my sisters good friend Chauntelle.  Her and her husband Sam are expecting twins!  EXCITING!  Can't wait to meet little Ava and Beau!  Thanks again for stopping by, be back soon!  STeph

Swatchbook Fun!

Hello All!  So we're onto another crazy week!  Dance rehearsal, dance recital, still trying to get the house back together, Aaron's into project 'aquarium' - don't ask!  But nevertheless, I'm still here!  So today's post is a couple of pages out of the swatchbook I made for Aaron's mom for Mother's Day.  It was super easy and at this point, was the only way she was getting anything 'handmade'!  Hope you like, I took various quotes off the net about grandparents and then made pages to match with pics of them and the kids.  Hope you like and thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Crop Day Cancelled

Good evening ALL!  Just a reminder that tmw's crop day has been cancelled.  I'll see about one for the fall, but for the time being, it seems we are all very busy!  Today's pic is from my MDS workshop.  I made mug labels for all of us.  Usually these labels are used for water bottles, but I knew most of the guests were going to be coffee drinkers :)  We had a great afternoon and I look forward to doing another workshop!  Tonight is another quick one, 32 cards to prep for tmw's mommy and me class at ELM :)  Thanks for stopping by, have a GREAT weekend!

Blog Candy Winner Is....

Happy Wednesday to you all!  My BIGGEST apologies for my tardiness!  My week completely got away from me and well the weekend was even crazier!  But I must say I had a wonderful time with the ladies at the Largie Church near Dutton and look forward to a Fall event :)  Sooooo, my blog candy is going out to Kathie Kelly AND Erin Morley!  I met Kathie at last year's Komoka scrap day.  Kathie is also a fabulous demonstrator as is Erin, you can check out Erin's awesome creations at www.erinspaperairplanes.blogspot.com  .  Thank you to both Erin and Kathie for your comments! Today's card is a stepped up version from it's  original.  I added some bling, white organza ribbon and a layer of Limeade and Pool Party.  Lastly I layered the greeting onto Limeade as well with a piece punched out from the decorative label punch.  Voila!  Now back to making supper...oh and did I tell you my room is FINALLY getting painted???Yes Hubby gave the ok to bring in the help, so thanks to my good friend Mel and her new painting business - It's looking WONDERFUL!!!! Pics to come soon!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!  Steph
