More MDS pages from Cuba

Good evening all!  I don't know about you, but I am hoping the weather man is right about tmw, I could use some sun and warmer temps!  So I thought I would show off some pics of warmer temps!  These are more of my Cuba pages.  Very simple but that's because I wanted to focus on the pics, so all I did was add some letters from the Rough Type alphabet set, and also used a frame from the Downtown Grunge kit.  Hope you like, remember to leave a comment or send me an e-mail to get in on the draw for some blog candy!!  Have a great night!  Steph

Still Here!!!

Still here!  What a week - and weekend!  I had SOOO much fun at Club night - thanks to all who came out!  And then again on Saturday with a group of amazing scrapbookers in Komoka for the London Synchro Skating team...and lastly, an MDS workshop today - whew!!!  I LOVE it!  Today's post is the card I did for the make'n'take at Komoka.  I used Bravo Burgandy and Whisper White.  Stamp set is Creative Elements - Love it! and the greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Also used the Decorative Label punch and Four Frames stamp set along with the Word Window punch and Modern Label punch.  WHew that's a list!  Anywho, this is going to be short and sweet but I will be back tmw - have little Olivia coming over for the morning and we'll be up to some toddler crafting :)  Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

Cars of Cuba

Hello All!  It's Thursday - only one more day to go - yeah!  I'm really looking forward to the weekend, it's little sisters B-day, and we're having date night!  We're planning on going to see American Reunion, we're up for a good laugh :)  Today's post is 2 more pages from my Cuba album.  One of the things that I LOVE about Cuba is the character and culture.  Going into the city or Moran - yes Moran - was really an eye opener.  It really made you appreciate all that we have here in Canada as the city is very poor.  Most of the cars in Cuba are classics since they have not been allowed to import cars.  Most people get around by bike or horse and buggy.  It really is like taking a step back in time.  These pages came together pretty easily.  I love the car DSP in the (travel kit - proper name is not with me right now!)  but the kit has tons of things to use for making any type of vacation album.  Anywho...better get on with my night.  Hope all is well and thanks for stopping by!  Steph

April Club Night

Hello All!  Home today and working away on my scrap room...can't believe how many nails and screws are in the walls - thanks to Aaron and his Nascar addiction!  Oh well...hopefully by June this room will be done!  Today's post is the project we're making for Club night.  We'll be making 2 of each card and then a notecard to go on top of the giftbox.  Pretty excited about this club night - I'm kicking hubby out so we can expand into the living room!  Was hoping to use the actual scraproom, but know it's not going to happen, so thought it was best to have plan B.  Colours are Razzleberry and Baja Breeze, the stamp set is Creative Elements - my current favourite!  Hope all is well and thanks for stopping by :)  Steph

Sunday School Fundraiser - card #2

Happy Easter Sunday all!  We have had a very crazy weekend, including a call to 911...but thankfully all is well and GiGi is home with a couple a stitches and some bruising - note to all...be careful on the Glencoe sidewalks, they are anything but even!  Today's post is another card that we will be doing at the Dutton Sunday School class.  This uses the new In Colour Lucky Limeade and Whisper White.  It's a very simple card, but elegant.  I love using the pearl on the cards, these and the antique brads are my favourite embellishments!  Well off to do some laundry and get ready for the start of another week...if you're lucky and have tmw off - ENJOY!!  Thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Mother's Day card for ELM

This is the other part of the project we will be doing.  There is no set time for this class, it's just come on over whenever you like!  This again is a fairly easy card as it's geared towards children...and I just love the Triple Treat flower!  It's quickly become one of my favourites!  Again if you can't make the crop day and would like a kit, send me an e-mail and I can have a kit ready for you.  Hope you're having a wonderful Easter Saturday - we;re off to the Glencoe Community Easter egg hunt and then off to mom's for some b-day dinner for lil sis - super fun!

Sunday School Stamp-a-Stack

Hello all!  I had hoped this picture had turned out better as it doesn't really do this card much justice - it's much nicer in real life (does that make sense?)  As you know I am doing a stamp-a-stack for the Duff Largie Sunday School near Dutton.  This is a great bunch of women and I had a lot of fun in the fall.  I finally got this die (and the name escapes me at the moment) and needed a little inspiration with it...and I found a card that took the cut out and made a cross - how perfect?  I LOVE this card and am excited to make for the fundraiser.  If any of you are looking to make 12 cards while supporting a great group let me know!  It's $25.00 per person and $10.00 from each kit is donated to the Sunday School.  If you can't make the date (Saturday April 28th 9am) but would like a set let me know, we're making 12 cards, 3 of 4 designs, this is design #1 :)  Have a super night and hope to stamp with you soon!  Steph

ELM Mother's Day Crop

Good evening all!  Today as promised (finally) I have my pics done - yeah!  The first one is of the Mother's Day pages we'll be making at the ELM crop day May 5th.  If you can't make the class or crop day and would like one to make at home please e-mail me and I can have  kit made up for you - kits are $15.00 each and include all supplies for the 12x12 page and card, all you need is glue!  This class is geared towards a mommy/grandma/auntie and me class so it is very basic, but I can't wait to see what the kids create!  I have 2 colour options and love both, but thought the lavender might be too girly for some little boys, so the Indigo is the same page only more of a boyish colour.  You'll also notice my sister in this pics (which I'm pretty sure I'll be in the dog house for posting this) but I didn't bring any pics with me to the cottage as my intent was to make cards and MDS...so I had to borrow a cpl of Jess' - thanks SIS!  Remember to e-mail me if you are planning on coming so I have enough kits made!  Hope to see you there - it will be alot of FUN!

Another Cuba MDS page

Hello All!  So I'm here today with another MDS page from Cuba...I have really high hopes of getting my pics taken tmw to post my cards and scrapbook pages from the cottage tmw night - so be sure to check back to see what we'll be making for the ELM fundraiser!  This is the Catamaran Aaron and I went on to go snorkeling - AMAZING day!  The best part was on the way back we saw wild dolphins, they actually came up to the boat - was one of the coolest things ever!  Anyways, today's post is quick, but will be back tmw!  Thanks for stopping by:)  Steph

Weekend winding down

Well our weekend is winding down here at Windswept...every time we come here we have such a wonderful time, but every time seems to go faster!  Today's post is another Cuba page.  These are some of the flamingoes that were at a nearby lagoon.  We had thought we had seen some young flamingoes just outside our resort, but when we saw these bright coloured birds we knew we hadn't.  The paper on the page is from the Pink Flamingo dwnld and the stamp set co-ordinates along with it.  So much fun!  Have a great April Fools day!  Steph
