3x3 Notecard

Good evening!  At the risk of giving my whole class this Friday away...here's another card we will be making :)  I was never really into the 3x3 notecards but have become a big fan as they are so easy to make and can really dress up a little gift or basket.  Colours are Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Elegant Soiree DSP (retired, sorry).  The butterfly (or maybe it's a moth, not sure) is stamped with Early Espresso and then I used the watercolour crayons and my blender pen to add some colour.  Greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  Quick post today, hubby is on the East coast, and kids and puppy are very busy :)  Thanks for stopping by, have a great night! Dog Days

Happy Monday everyone!  Days just don't get much better than today...finally get to open my new windows (thank you Jay from DeRydt Homes), have been outside to enjoy some beautiful sunshine, completed the cards for my upcoming Nature Walk class, and got to make 2 of these cute dog cards to boot!  I wanted to make our trainer Cathie a thank you card for taking care of Cooper while we were in Timmins.  I was a little hesitant to leave the little guy as he was just settling in from being taken from his mom...however, he had great care, alot of training, and I'm pretty sure he remembered 'home' when we got back.  So many thanks to Cathie for taking such good care of the little guy!  This card is inspired by Jackie Topa.  I am really trying to keep from blog hopping so that I can spend more time creating, but needed a little help making this punch card.  Her idea was just what I needed so I decided to just add a little more to the dog house and voila!  On Jackie's card she used the 'word window' punch for the ears, I don't have this one (can you believe it?) so I used the 5 petal flower and just trimmed off a petal, and folded it.  Punches used are: 1 1/4 for the head, large wide oval for the body, nose, and tail, small oval for the back legs, and front paws.  The house is regular card with the top edges trimmed, and also stamped with the woodgrain background stamp.  Name on the house and bone is the Modern Label punch.  Hope you can get out to enjoy some of this perfect weather!  Thanks for stopping by today :)  Steph

Nature Walk over load?

Hello All!  Lovin this sunshine!  Having a great weekend, spent yesterday shooting a wedding in Sarnia with hubby, and today I have actually been making and creating cards!  It feels like it's been forever.  So I thought I would share one of my creations which will be part of my class this Friday.  If you are interested please send me a msg as I do have limited spots for this one.  Colours are Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze.  DSP is Elegant Soiree (retired, sorry) and the ribbon is Very Vanilla and an antique brad to finish it off.  I'm rather pleased with how this one turned out!  Hope you're having a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Nature Walk invite

Hello!  Back safe and sound from the North :)  Haven't had a chance to stamp...and I've taken apart my stamp room again! So I am right into re-organizing to make more room.  Today's post is a wedding invite that I did recently using the Nature Walk set.  I used Chocolate Chip cardstock and Vanilla paper.  Not sure if you can tell on the middle picture but the 2 RSVP cards have little tabs so they are inserted right into the invite.  The whole invite folds up into an envelope and is sealed at the back, pretty neat eh?  Anywho, busy with unpacking and bouncy little Cooper!  Take care and thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Nature Walk and Pearls

Hello all!  For those of you who stopped by last Monday or yesterday, my apologies to my grammatical error, and thank you Erin for bringing to my attention!  So we're off to Timmins tmw morning and won't be back til Tuesday.  Today's card is a re-post from quite some time ago.  It uses the Nature Walk set which I was so happy to have carried into the new catty!  So happy that I am planning a class :)  The class will be either the 2nd last Wednesday of August or the last Wednesday.  Will post details as soon as I have them.  The class will be limited to 8 people so if you are interested send me an e-mail and I can set your spot aside.  Hope you all have a great weekend and I'll be back on Tuesday!  Take care, Steph

Sunny Days MDS

Hello and happy Monday!  Hope you had a good weekend.  Had an awesome day at the Legion, thank you to all the ladies who came out to make cards, scrapbook, and of course GAB!  I love it!  Sunday was a nice realxing day.  Delivered all my invites (next crop day I do hope to scrap!, but must say I enjoy the invites just as much!) Had some nice family timw along with and busy little Cooper.  We managed to get out for a nice walk so we were able to get a solid nights sleep.  Onto today's post.  THis is one of the pages I had done using the Sunny Days MDS kit.  I still have a couple more pages before sending it off to print.  Colours are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turqouise, and Pink Passion.  This page was super easy as I used the Desginer Template, so I literally only had to plunk my picuters in.  A great time saver!  Enjoy your day and thanks again for stopping by!

Another Builder Punch!

Hello Again!  Just home to let Cooper out and taking a small scrap break so thought I would give you all a bonus post since I've been so tardy lately!  This is another card made at Heather's Demo event.  It features the Blossom (I think that;s what it's called, my catty is at the legion) Builder punch.  The stamp set is Bold Blossom, it's becoming a favourite as it's so easy to use and simple.  Hope you are all enjoying your day!  Thanks for stopping by (again!). Steph

Pennant Party!

Good morning!  Up bright and early, puppy walked, and getting ready to set off to the Legion for CROP DAY!  I love crop days!  Today's post is another card I made at Heather's demo day.  It uses the new Petite Pennant Builder punch.  This one is definitely on my must have list.  And of course there's a set to go along with it, so that's also on my list, Pennant Parade, page 69 in the catalogue or you can view it online http://www.stampaholicsteph.stampinup.net/ Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks again for stopping by!  Steph

A Manly Card

Good evening!  Yes I made it back, whooohooo!  Here is one of the cards I made at Heather Summer's demo event back in June.  I really love this set 'Open Sea' and wish it had made the new catalogue, however, there are numerous new ones on my must have list so I can't say I'm unhappy.  If you are interested in the set it's available until August 31st in the current mini.  One of my favourite things is the postage punch, I really like this punch, I think it gives it a nice touch.  This card also uses the DSP in the current mini (the name escapes me) and now is the perfect time to buy DSP as it is buy 3 get 1 FREE!  E-mail if you would like to stock up!  Hope you have a good night and thanks again for stopping by!  Steph

Where have I been???

HELLO!  So where have I been lately?  Well working extra shifts at work, having a blast doing a couple of classes in Strathroy (thank you Aunt Linda for thinking of me) and oh yeah we have a new puppy!  So life is good, but busy.  Above is a picture of the page I made with a special group of people at the Strathroy Thames Valley Resource Centre.  I had a couple of great afternoons!  And below is a picture of our latest addition, Cooper.  Yes it's busy, but the girls are just loving him and I am really enjoying our morning and evening walks.  It's nice to have a wagging tail greet you in the morning!  Hope you are all enjoying your summer, thanks for stopping by, I WILL be back tmw :)  Steph
