Note Cards and Purse

Good morning all!  I'm sneaking on before I leave for work as I have been a little neglectful!  What a weekend - Crop day on Saturday - THANKS to all for coming out, what a great day!  My nest one is Saturday August 6th, stay tuned for more details regarding classes for that day.  Sunday I was at the Eagle craft show, a great group of vendors and thanks again to all who came out.  Had a great time and even got a Henna tattoo (thanks to Joyful Creations !) Monday we went to Greenview Aviaries with the kiddies and then home to do some much needed house work.  Phew, I'm glad to be going to work today!  On to today's post, this is a project we did for our Club night in May.  I'm still looking for a couple more members so if you are interested let me know.  We made the purse out of cardstock, glued on some DSP and attached ribbon for the handles.  The cards are made with the Upsy Daisy kit, and the paper is Razzleberry Lemonade, it was on the clearance rack but I think it may be gone, but any DSP will do.  A simple project that makes a nice little gift for someone.  Hope you all stay cool today, it's gonna be a scorcher!  Take care and thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Kimanis Park Timmins

I'm still here!  I had pre-planned a couple of posts for you all over the long weekend in hopes that I would be able to send them while I was away - no such luck! I couldn't find a wireless connection in the great north so I'm finally here and able to post!  We arrived back Monday night after a 15 1/2hr drive - yes I could've been over half way to Disney Land!  However, our trip was good, we arrived home safe and things are starting to get back to normal (sort of!)  Today's post is another page out of the album I'm making.  I have just some finishing touches and then off to print it will go!  Hope you like...still have spots for Saturday's crop day if you're interested.  Thanks for stopping by :)  Steph

A Real Sneak Peak

Good evening!  Can't believe it's already Wednesday.  Had a great day Monday with little Olivia (although I must admit I had forgotten what it's like to do groceries with an infant!  Tuesday and Wednesday was work and now tmw we're off to Timmins!  I will try and post while I'm away but won't make any promises.  On to today's post.  This one is a real sneak peak for next Saturday's class.  I decided to demonstrate this set as it's on for 30% off til the end of May - a great deal, I believe it's $13.00 for the clear set (not sure the exact amount) but a really good deal.  My goal for the class is for everyone to have a nice assortment of cards, and so for the kids cards I wanted to do a girl and a boy card, so here they are!  Colours are Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Early Espresso, Naturals White, and designer paper is Playdate and the Sale-a-bration set.  Hope you like, I still have 4 spots if you would like to join us at the Legion, just send me an e-mail stampaholicsteph@gmail.com.  Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

Home at last!

Good evening/morning to you all!  Sorry for not posting in a few days, but if you live anywhere near me I'm sure you understand the HUGE overhaul that has gone on (while hubby was away I might add!)  Well hubby is home and though I'd like to say things are back to normal, little Kayla is having a few issues, so hence today's post of little Kayla and daddy.  I'll have to show the little monkey in the morning so she can maybe give her dad a break!  This page is out of the album I am making for Aaron's mom.  It's a digital template "Sunny Days" and I love it.  The album so far had 18 completed pages and has taken me 2 hours!  Can you believe!  I don't even want to imagine how long it would've taken to scrapbook!  Anyways, if you're looking to create an album - now is the time - they're 30% off!!  So get yours done and send it off, you won't be disappointed, I can't wait to see this one printed. Anywho, it's very late, had a wonderful weekend - thanks Maureen for an amazing day of cardmaking, I had a great time and met some wonderful ladies!  Thanks also to all the Club members, can't believe there's only one month left!  Anywho, take care and thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Sneak Peak??

Hello all!  Just lovin this sunshine!  I couldn't wait to get home, get supper done and outside with the girlies.  Almost done my garden, a couple more nights and I think we'll be good, depends on how much Kayla undoes, thinking the kiddie shovels might not have been a good idea??  On to today's post, a card fresh out of my stampin room!  I;m thinking of maybe using this at the Legion, will have to see what else I come up with this week.  So that's why I call it sneak peak? as it may be a little sneak peak into the card class at the Legion.  Colours are Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Riding hood Red, Cherry Cobbler, DSP is Paisley Petals (from the upcoming catalogue this summer, if you didn't pre-order this in April, you'll want it in July!) and the cardstock is Naturals White. Stamp sets: Awash with Flowers and Upsy Daisy for the greeting.  I will try and create something with another set tmw, me and the Open Sea aren't getting along too well so have taken a break!  Thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day to all the Mom's, Grandma's, Auntie's, and any other woman I have missed!  Hope you had a wonderful day.  Mine was super busy/productive/fun and tiring!  I was able to spend some much needed time in my garden, then off for a nature walk, dinner, bath, bedtime, clean out my freezer (which is a whole other story) and now here I am.  Unfortunately I have had zero time for creativity!  Funny I thought with Aaron being away for 2 weeks I would be a creative machine, turns out single parenthood does not allow for such time!  So instead I am posting an even better creation, my Mother's day gift from Hannah.  PLUS it does use what looks to me like some Stampin'Up punches!  Could it be that Mrs. Turner is a stamper?  Maybe!  Anyways, I just love these handmade gifts.  This one will definitely go in the keepsake box.  Hope you all had a wonderful day, will try to get something creative for you for tmw!  Thanks for stopping by, Steph

Exciting Hostess News!

Good evening all!  I wasn't going to post tonight, if you could see my kitchen you would know why!  But I received my monthly Stampin'Up! magazine and am just way too excited!  First...the new catalogue will be here in less than 2 months!  PLUS in it will be new hostess benefits!  You will now receive MORE hostess rewards with your workshops PLUS 50% off items!  So exciting!  I will of course have more details in June, but for now just had to share that with you all.  Now for today's post, which kinda ties in with the hostess benefits (kinda).  Today's card is the one we will be making for Club night.  If any of you are interested in a Club, September will bring you these new rewards to enjoy, things like the Big Shot you can earn for 50% off!  WOW!  K, I know I have to calm down...so here it is, using the new Open Sea set from the mini along with the new Nautical DSP and rope.  I would write the proper names but they escape me at the moment!  Hope you like the card, msg me if you are interested in any Club details!  Thanks for stopping by, Steph

Another Mother's Day card

Happy Sunny day to you all!  So nice to finally have some rays beaming down.  Today's post is another Mother's day card I made for the ELM fundraiser.  I know I keep using this hostess set, but what can I say, I love it!  Colours are Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso, Old Olive, and Natural White.  Loving the new Four Frames set along with the Decorative label punch, and of course some crochet trim to finish it off!  Thanks to all of you for your kind words about my new newsletter.  So nice to have such a welcoming response!  Lastly, if you have checked out the new mini and have seen the new punch, I would recommend checking out the site for a really awesome sample, I wasn't too crazy about the punch til I saw this card, now it's on my list! (click here)  You'll have to scroll down a little, but it's awesome!  Thanks for stopping by!  Steph

Happy 'I DO' Day

Good evening all!  Well I still have a John Deere in my backyard, but things are looking up!  Our big hole where our pool was is supposed to be filled tmw, fingers crossed!  Today's post is a card using the "Word Play" set, new to the catalogue this year.  I really like the variety in this set.  My favourite thing about this card is the "Basic Rhinestone", I think these dress cards up so much.  Colours are Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, and DSP is Elegant Soiree.   I also added some retired Soft Suede ribbon (love the Clearance rack!)  and to add some more dimension I used the Elegant Lines embossing folder on the Baja Breeze cardstock.  Simple but pretty.   The Very Vanilla behind the "Happy I Do Day" is stamped with the Always Elegant stamp using Baja Breeze. Btw...I read back my post last Saturday...boy was I tired!  I used the Victorian Crochet Trim for the ribbon...not whatever I wrote (croched or something)! Anyhow, thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a great night!  Steph
