Christmas Cards - Take #1

Hello All!  It's been like Santa's workshop around here making gifts galore!  Lots to share but must wait a bit as some little eyes cannot see some of these creations!  So here is my first Christmas card...which I do love, but thought the picture was a little too 'golden' as Hannah would say.  And when I gave the card to my sister, my thoughts were confirmed by the expression on her face!  So this weekend will be take #2 for our Cremin Christmas card!  All in all though I love the design (CASED) from the sample of the "Holiday Cheer" DSP...that's probably not the exact name, but its new and I love it!  Well off to clean the kitchen, bath the kiddies, and make some more gifts!  have a great night :) Steph

Club Night Sneek Peak

Happy Monday!  It's a quiet one here and I'm getting LOTS done!  Today's post is an MDS version of our Club night project this Friday.  We're decorating paper trays!  Now although I love MDS, this version just doesn't do it justice as it is super awesome in real life with the real embellishments.  However, without MDS I wouldn't be able to fill everyone's trays with the same paper, MDS made this super easy for me!  The 'real' version has some of the paper popped up, real ribbon, rhinestones etc.  Can't wait to make these with a SUPER bunch of ladies this Friday :)  I used the Letters to Santa DSP and embellishments, I love the colours in this paper :)  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

x-mas projects on the GO!

Happy Sunday all!  Hope you're all having a good weekend.  We just got home from our 1st family Christmas of the year and had lots of fun.  Seeing the kids eyes as Santa came into the hall was PRICELESS!  Today's post is a sneak peek of a gift that's being sent to Timmins for Aaron's parents.  I absolutely LOVE the "12 Days of Christmas" swatchbook template.  So cute and so quick to put together!  Anywho, off to clean the kitchen and get going on Club night preparations!  Have a great night :)  Steph

Simply Stars Blog Hop - Christmas Theme

Welcome hoppers!  Hope you are all having a wonderful start to the week.  I absolutely LOVE being a Simply Star and am excited for today's hop!  Today's post is an MDS page I did up from last years pics of the little ones.  I love how punches can be used for so many things, for instance, the tree is the pennant punch, and the "naughty or Nice" is a punch and then filled with the Letters to Santa DSP.  Because I used a punch I am able to move it around the paper and capture just the part I want instead of the whole page.  Made it SUPER easy to put this together!  I hope you are enjoying the hop and carry on to see Susie's amazing creation :)  Don't forget to check out all the great deals with the On-Line extravaganza, lots and lots of savings going on!
Have a super day and enjoy the hop!  Steph

MDS Thank you cards for a Special Girl

Hello All!  Well I know it's been awhile...but it's just been one of those weeks!  So to brighten up my day I wanted to share a post with you about  two special people who I have mentioned before, Stephanie and Cole.  Stephanie's good friend Cole passed away from a rare form of childhood cancer, neuroblastoma.  Cole was a special boy, full of life and courage and fought long and hard.  To help celebrate Cole and help raise money for a cure for this awful disease, Stephanie spent her summer making friendship bracelets.  She set a goal of raising $500.00, and she reached that goal!  Her generousity and ability to cope with the loss of a good friend at such an early age amazes me.  I work with both Stephanie and Cole's parents and  was honoured to make some thank-you's for the people that helped Stephanie reach her goal.  If you wish to make a donation in Cole's honour, please visit www.jamesfund.com.  I hope the spirit of these two youngsters brightens your day, as they do mine :)  Thanks for stopping by today!  Take care, Steph

A little more MDS

Hello!  I hope all of you are safe and sound from the storms last night.  We are of the lucky people who did not lose hydro and other than branches and some flower pots strewn over the lawn, no harm was done here.  I do know that quite a few of you were without hydro for some time, I hope that's all been restored by now :)  Today's post is something I just made up to frame to advertise for MDS. This week there are AWESOME deals for the MDS kits PLUS free downloads, don't miss them!!  Anyways, I better make it quick, Parent Meeting tonight and some prep for this Saturday's card class!  Have a great night and thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Sunday:)  What a great day to be snuggled up with the family.  We're enjoying a nice quiet Sunday (for now!)  Today's post is a chore chart I made for Hannah and Kayla.  This was totally inspired by one of the on-line classmates with Heather's Simply MDS2 class (her name escapes me) but I loved her creation!  We're working on having the girls become a little more responsible for their things so mommy isn't CONSTANTLY picking up after them!  To go along with today's post I want to tell all of you to make sure you go to my site tmw to check out all the AMAZING deals!  There are stamp sets that are 15% off for tmw only and PLUS for Oct.29-Nov. 5 all Digital kits are 50% off PLUS there will be FREE downloads, yes FREE!! So make sure you hop on over to www.stampaholicsteph.stampinup.net to download yours!  For stamp orders, you can e-mail me before 8pm tmw as I will be placing an order, this will save you on shipping, if I receive 10 stamp orders, I'll pay for YOUR shipping!  Hope you have a warm and cozy day :)

Simply Start Blog Hop!

Thanks for hopping over!  I'm so excited to be doing this, Heather has such an amazing team full of very talented stampers so I hope you'll hop on through to see everyone's creations!
Our theme is Hallowe'en so I have made up an MDS page from Hannah's first Hallowe'en.  The witch is inspired by Kim Score of PaperPunchAddicitons, loved this little punch art witch!  My other favourite element on this page is the 'happy hallowe'en' stamp from the Scaredy Cat set.  I LOVE being able to colour stamps in MDS2!  I hope you're all having a great start to the week and take some time to hop on over to Susie Hamms blog!

Fun at the Toronto Zoo

Good morning!  Had an AWESOME club night last night!  Thanks Ladies for coming out :)  Today's post are 2 of my MDS pages I made at the cottage.  We took a ton of pictures (well Aaron did) and it was so hard to pic...I could've easily made a whole book on our 2 day trip!  But I'm trying to keep everything together by year, so I picked out our favourites and plunked them in.  Super easy and fast.  Love you MDS :)  If any of you are looking for some good deals, the clearance rack is full of them, including MDS content, so head on over and check it out

Two Step with Frost White shimmer Paint

It's Club night this week...and I actually have everything cut and ready...just need to clean now!  This is one of the projects we'll be making this Friday.  Unfortunately I don't have the beautiful serene snowflakes set...so Northern Flurry (retired) had to do!  This card is super easy, a little messy, and much nicer in real life...I tried using some natural light to capture the effect of the shimmer paint...Aaron would have a cow if he saw this pic and tell me at least 5 ways I should've taken it!  Oh well, I know you guys understand!  I did get the D90 out to do some pics for some flyers...been awhile since I did that, and I must say, it does make a huge difference, you'll see on my post tmw with some super cute cards for the Duff largie Church fundraiser in Dutton, I love this event, it's  such a great bunch of women!  Anywho, enough rambling!  Hope you're having a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello all!  Well I'm happy to be home with the family (minus Aaron who had to be out of town again!) but we had some nice family time last night so all is good!  Today's post is quick as I'm off for some much needed sleep!  This is an MDS page I made at the cottage, I'll apologize in advance as you will be seeing ALOT of MDS pages of  Hannah and Kayla, I almost have all of 2012 up to date :)  THis one was super easy, totally cased the cover of a scrapbook catty (can;t say the name, it's a SU swear word..LOL! )  Anywho, off to bed I go....just a heads up that Club night is Friday October 19th if anyone is interested in making a cpl cool projects and ordering out of the catty :) Take care and thanks for stopping by! Kayla and Benny

Happy Friday!  It's a BEAUTIFUL day here at the cottage...am having way too much fun with a great group of ladies and my laptop :)  So yesterday I posted Hannah and Butterscotch so today is Kayla and Benny.  These pages are from the One Great Year (think that's what it's called) template and then changed slightly to make my own.  What do you think?  I've got 14 pages done...been a little slower today, catching up on Heather Summers online class - which I've learned ALOT!  Thanks Heather :)

A little MDS treat...

How cute are these?  And well I can't take the credit for them but had to share!  These are all designed by Heather Summers (THANKS HEATHER!) and they are SO simple to put together.  In MDS you make an 8.5x11 sheet with 4 images (all the same)...send the 8.5x11 to the printer, cut in four, some sticky strip and a treat and VOILA!  SO easy!  Hope you're having a great Friday, we're having Club night tonight, Open House and Glencoe Fair tmw, and Miss O comes to visit for Sunday, going to be a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by! Steph

Club Night..YAY!

Hello!  So I'm getting very excited for Hallowe'en, which isn't really like me!  I'm not a huge fan of the holiday, but now that the kids are a bit older, I must admit I'm looking forward to it :)  Today's post is one of the projects we'll be making tmw night for Club...I still have 2 spots if you feel like coming and making so super cool projects...it's a $35.00 order or $20.00 cash...you pick!  E-mail if you think you would like to join.  This features my new favourite SU embellishment...GOOGLY EYES!  Love these little things!  Paper is off the clearance rack...Wicked Fun I think it's called, and the stamp set it the ghouly ghouls from the mini (think that;s the name!)  Anywho, gotta get back to paper cutting and cleaning!  Have a great night!  Steph

Thank goodness for coffee!

Well we're almost half way through the week!  The girls seem to be settling into school nicely.  Tmw we're off to dance registration and Thursday is the Meet the Teacher bbq, so lots going on this week!  This is something I saw on Heather's MDS class, and I had to re-create it to make it my own.  I used the same sayings but changed the fonts and added some stamped words as well as a picture of some beans at the bottom right.  I think I'll print a large print and either laminate it or frame it for my kitchen or dining room.  Well I'm going to get some things done for my Hallowe'en class next Friday.  Remember it's not just for Club members, all are welcome :)  Take care and thanks for stopping by :) Steph

More Pony Party!

Ever wanted to make a personalized party?  Well MDS makes it super easy!  I used the Timeless Alphabet punch set to make the letters to spell HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH, coloured them in with DSP, added the pony and the grass punch, uploaded and sent it to Costco and printed each letter as a 5x7, and so for $5.65 I have my very own personalized banner!  Hannah was over the moon with it in our living room.  And now I'm going to frame the letters for her room (just her name).  Love it!  Well it's been a busy one, and off for a nice walk.  Hope you had a great weekend, we had a blast, will post some MDS soon of Hannah and Butterscotch today, so cute!  Thanks for stopping by :)

Pony Party

Happy Friday All!  Well as you know it's been a busy week with kiddies heading back to school, showing the house (yes with literally 3 hours notice!) and Hannah's birthday is Sunday!  So I'm sad to say I wasn't able to make any invites up, I literally got on the phone and called her 3 closest friends and invited them for a sleepover this Saturday.  So today I have been MDS'ing like crazy!  I've made this super awesome birthday banner, cupcake pics, signs, party hat decorations, it's awesome!  We;re doing a My Little Pony theme (but just Butterscotch since that;s her favourite).  My dad and I are heading to Greenhawk today to get her a grooming kit for the real Butterscotch.  I think spending more time with the horses will help build Hannah's confidence, and I think it's time for me to return to having Miss Dixie in my life, she's been put on hold for long enough I think.  So I'm very excited to start what feels like a new chapter.  OK enough babbling!  This little poster was super quick thanks to some Disney clipart!  Just downloaded the pony, added some text and background DSP, grass punch and Cheerful Treat border - VOILA!  Have a great day!

Week 1 almost done!

Hi All! Whew it's been a week!  Hannah started Grade 1 Tuesday and let me say, I think it's been harder than JK!  She's not in her friends class and it is really upsetting her.  Lets hope Kayla's first day tmw goes better!  Today's card is another one that I made at Heathers,  I cannot remember the real name of the stamp set but it is in the holiday mini. I LOVE the chevron embossing folder, I can see this one being used alot!  And I must say I have warmed up to the mason jar set :)  What I love about this card is the framelits.  This is probably one of my favourite new SU products, simply because there is so much more value with being able to have the same shape but in different sizes, love it!  Any who, off to finish cutting some paper for my fab ladies in Strathroy, can't wait to see them!  Remember to msg me if you would like to come to my Hallowe'en class in September :)  Have a great night, Steph

Googly Ghouls

I am on a roll! September 3rd and I'm 2 posts in - YEAH!  This card is one that I made at a class at Heather Summers...I LOVE her classes :)  What I love about this card is it makes me want to make Hallowe'en cards, when normally I just wouldn't think to make them for this occasion, but now I think I'll make a few!  We'll be making a similar one for Club night along with a treat bag so we can all make our own this year :)  One thing that I used for the first time is the Crystal Effects, and I LOVE it!  The 2 black buttons aren't actually buttons, they're paper buttons and then the Crystal Effects is added on and Voila, a shiny button, fun eh?  And the other thing that I was SUPER excited about was the googly eyes!  I will say that once again SU has risen above, just like with their pearls and rhinestones, these eyes take the cake.  Anywho, back to work, have a wonderful Labor Day!  Steph

Love you Stampin'Up!

Happy Sunday All!  Having a nice relaxing one around here so thought I would get a little MDS done.  I'm working on a wall collage for my dining room.  I had made these up yesterday without using any digital stamps but thought this morning, the French Foliage set would really finish this off.  So I went to download it and wouldn't you know I qualified for a FREE download!  So to my nice surprise I was able to download this one for free, made my morning (even though it's only $12.00, still made my day!)  So I added the leaves and script to the corners and I really love the outcome!  Hope you have a great Sunday, off to prep for my September Club/Class, details coming soon!  Take care, Steph

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday to a very special lady...my mom!  This is the card I made earlier this week and had so much fun with!  I love trying out new product and on this one I tried out my new paper piercing mat and plastic.  I love the variety of shapes that you get with this.  I used it around the decorative label punch just to give it a little more to it.  Colours are Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla and Comfort Cafe DSP.  Add a little Soft Suede ribbon and voila!  The flower was made with my new framelits set, also another new product that I love!  Anywho, home with a sick Kayla today, was Hannah's turn Monday and now Kayla's turn, hopefully we get it all out of our systems before school starts!  Yikes!  Thanks for stopping by :) Steph

Ahhhhh...I love Sundays :)

Oh how I love a lazy Sunday, and that`s exactly what we`re having!  We were up at 7am and outside before the heat came.  Planted some mums. started project `clean up pond` area, then in for breakfast, coffee at aunties, and home for lunch and afternoon matinee!  I am SOOO happy I am so close to having my Cuba album done, I`ll definitely have it done in time to get the 31% off, which is AWESOME, I just have to do some editing and quick journalling.  I`ve also managed to open some new items that I have had since June (this never happens, I ALWAYS open items when I get them) but our renos seemed to take up ALL our time!  So yesterday me and the girls went and spent some much needed and overdue craft time :)  I made a special someone a special birthday card, which I can`t post just yet, it will be up by the end of the week :)  SO back to today`s post, this is s page from my Cuba book, this is Arlent one of the bartenders at the resort we went to.  He made the best Chocolate Monkey`s ever, I think its safe to say we visited him nightly!  And sometimes a couple of times :)  Anywho, this page was super easy, Lucky Limeade background, splatter with Early Espresso, some punched out Circles with Comfort Cafe DSP and the monkey from Nursery Alphabet.  Super easy!  k, off to clean the kitchen, thanks for stopping by!  Steph

I just downloaded the MDS 2 and I can't believe how awesome it is!  It has so many awesome new things and SUPER easy to use :)  I whipped this page up in minutes by using one of their calendar template pages.  If you have MDS I HIGHLY recommend getting the upgrade!  This is a quick post today, off to do some laundry and relax, been a crazy couple of weeks.  Thanks for stopping by and be back soon :) Steph

Life is Good!

What can I say?  I TOTALLY jinxed myself in June by getting ahead of myself with my MDS class!  We literally spent most of July renovating our house to put it on the market.  It was ALOT of work and I couldn't even think of scrapbooking!  But we got it all done with the help of some really good friends and family (you know who you are :)  THEN off to Timmins we went for Aaron's parents 40th Wedding Anniversary.  Now Aaron, me and the girls are at the Best Western Muskoka, girls are asleep and we're sitting at the table with both our laptops!  For the first time in a month we're having ME time...I love it!  I'm MDS'ing like crazy to get my albums ready to print before the 31st of August...why??? 31% OFF !!! YAY!  Love you Stampin'Up!  So this is right from our trip, a boat ride with Grandpa Glen...and to save time I'm just using the Sunny Day template (it's 12x12 but I'm shrinking the book to 8x8).  So back to work I go!  Thanks to ALL of you who keep stopping by, fingers crossed, the rest of August should be better :)  Take care!  Steph

Random Act of Kindness

Hello All!  Today's post is a very special one about two very special people.  Stephanie Hobbs is a young girl who had to say goodbye to her dear friend Cole much too soon.  Cole was taken to be with the angels after a long battle with neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer.  He and his family and friends fought a tough battle, but in the end, it turns out he was needed among the angels above us.  Stephanie who travelled along this battle has courageously and generously gone on her own to make friendship bracelets in honour of Cole and is donating all her proceeds to help fight childhood cancer.  When my co-worker heather, who is Stephanie's mom told me about this amazing thing she is doing, I asked if she could make 20 for Hannah to give as gifts for her classmates for year end.  She went right to it and made 20 beautiful bracelets.  I can't tell you how this has touched me and our family among many others.  I made these little purses for the girls and ommitted the handles for the boys (not that I'm against boys and purses, but thought without the handle might be better!)  Stephanie is still working on orders as word is being spread about this amazing act of kindness.  If you would like to be inspired by a little boy and his parents who have endured the unimaginable but have come out strong as ever, I encourage you to visit Cole's site, it is an amazing story of strength and courage:   http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/colepetrie
His journey along with parents Brian and Jenn is an inspiration to us all.  If any of you are interested in these friendship bracelets please send me an e-mail and I will pass it along to Stephanie.   THanks for stopping by today :)

Sheep Punch Art MDS style!

Well today I am on an MDS high!  I was able to get my projects done for my Club, 2 days early!! So unlike me :)  So tonight I thought I better get Miss Kayla's invites done!  I have been at my laptop for less than 30 minutes and there done :)  I asked Kayla at least a month ago what kind of party she wanted...she thought about it and told me she wanted a sheep party - YES a sheep party!  Seriously I have no idea where that idea came from!  I was hoping for a Finding Nemo party with her birthday being in July, my ideas were endless, but SHEEP!  URGH!  Oh well, have to give the girl what she wants right?  So we're in the making of a sheep party.  Hope you like the invite!  The inside is the same minus the word bubble and has all the info on it - no handwriting required!  Hope you had a great day, and if you're interested in joining my MDS Club, send me a message :)  Steph
