Winter Blues Event

Hello all! This is a pic of a card that was on display
at a Stampin'Up! event I went to in February.
So it is not one I made and so I cannot take credit for it, but I wanted to share it with you all as I think it's a great example of how versatile the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set it is. I've even used it for wedding invitations! I love the scallop punch they used around the edges of the white cardstock. It has taken a bit of pracitce but I too have been able to make the scallop edge around some rectangles and squares. Colours are Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry, and the Happy Birthday is from the Well Scripted stamp set in the current Occaisions Mini.

Oma's Garden

Good evening all. Hope you were able to get out and enjoy this wonderful weather today. Had a great day today, blueberry pancakes with Grandpa and Oma, and then a nice long hike and supper at Grandpa Steve-o's (that's what my kids call my dad). Today's post is another layout I did with the Sweet Pea DSP. It's not one for the class coming up though, I'm working on those, they'll have a little more detail to them. This one is fairly simple but I find the paper is so nice you don't need much to finish the page off. Colours are So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal, Regal Rose and Old Olive. The butterflies again are from the hostess set God's Beauty (retired, sorry!). Sweet Peas!

Good evening everyone! Isn't this weather wonderful - I am ready to get into my garden, but still have lots of scrapbooking on my mind - dilemas! Today's post is a double page layout I did using the DSP from the Sweet Pea package in the Occaisions Mini catalogue. It's a great deal, and awesome colours. I also used a flower and half back pearl on each page from the Pretties kit, I really like these embellishments. To finish it off I stamped some butterflies using last years hostess set "God's Beauty", a set I think I'll hang onto even though it's retired, it goes well with so many things. We used mostly in-colours; Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, and Sale-a-bration DSP. The large flowe is from the Pretties kit and I used a build-a-brad for the centre (love these!) I used the large oval punch to punch out the word and definition "simple" from the Define Your Life" set, and lastly, I used my brand new Timeless Type Stampin'Up! alphabet for my Big Shot (love this too!) Thoughts and Prayers

I just love this set! It's so versatile. You can use it for Get Well cards, Sympathy Cards, and yes I have even used it for a wedding invitation! Here's a simple Thinking of you card. Colours are Kraft, Vanilla, Chocolate Chip. I used a makeup applicator and sponged ink from ink pads to make the sky and grass, colours were bashful blue, sahara sand, old olive, and garden green. To finish it off I ran a piece of chocolate chip through the crimper as I was out of chip ribbon. Voila! Thanks for stopping by!

Another Easel card

Hello All! Just freshly back from an awesome week end of scrapbooking! Will have lots of pages to post in the next few days. As I am still unpacking I am posting a card I made last week at my monthly Stampin'Up meeting. We used the set Pun Fun. The whale is water coloured using the aqua painter, which I wasn't too fond of but have grown a little fonder of. Colours are Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and So Saffron. The DSP behind the whale is from the Sweet Pea package in the Occasions Mini 0 LOVE this paper! Easel Card

Hello everyone..like my new look? Needed a change so let me know what you think! So I went to this really cool StampinUp! event yesterday (thank you mom and Jess for watching the monsters so I could go!) We did 6 really nice projects and thought I would some with you. I haven't been doing classes lately as it's been crazy, but I will be doing a class in May and will be incorporating some of the projects from this event..so some will be a secret!

Today I am sharing what is called an easel card. Funny I had never heard of this card before yesterday and since then I checked out a couple fellow stampers blogs and low and behold, they're all easel crazy! The stamp set used is the Vintage Vogue (pg 26 of the Occaiosions Mini) which at first glance I was not crazy about! But I now love it (as this is usually what ends up happening). Colours for ink are bordering blue, and night of navy. We used the rock and roll technique to achieve the 2 colours on the flower. Paper is naturals ivory, kraft, not quite navy, vanilla, close to cocoa and bella bleu DSP. Accessories used are versamark, the scallop trim border punch (Sale-a-bration free item with $65.00 purchase!) kraft taffeta ribbon, not quite navy brads, trio flower punch, and modern label and word window punch. Now I can't promise but I'm pretty sure my clubbers are going to like this card and I think they'll be seeing one similar for our May project..maybe..we'll have to see! Thanks for stopping by!
